Well this may not have been during football season, but I did propose to my wife-to-be in front of the Doak Walker statue next to the stadium. So I joke that she is "forever tied to SMU football" followed by an annoyed groan on her part.

After I got engaged and before we had set the actual date, whenever anyone asked us, the answer was "Sometime between college basketball season and college football season." This was not only because neither of us would have missed a game, but we were being courteous to our guests. May 24 it was.

Ah, Regis, you complain -- but it's not like you had anything better to do. And I didn't see you turning down the free beer and masedpo-tinis to go watch the Indy 500 countdown show. The real question is, who would ever have a DRY wedding on a holiday weekend (and why would someone go to such an event?)
