The Missing Horseshoes

When did SMU move away from, if we ever had them, Horseshoe decals being awarded to players for individual achievements? Just a quesdtion.

The only time I recall seeing the horseshoes was when SMU had those crappy New York Jets throwback knockoff unis and helmets without stripes (during Cavan's tenure).

Cavan had them during his tenure, they went away when Bennett came in.

We also had them in the 1970s under Dave Smith.

They looked good.
