Re: Vandy eliminates A Dept.Ken Pye lives!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Vandy eliminates A Dept.Nacho,
This was also reported here in NC in the News and Observer. Read that this mornig with a certain level of amazement. What a step, and even I'm not sure what to really think yet. Thanks for the link to the Post's article. Only point I saw interesting was maryland's AD Yow "applauding" the move. Yet, she's quick to note that won't happen at maryland. Gotta love her reasoning. Plus, you think she's gonna give up her post, salary, and power? HA. I'm sure you won't be seeing a lot more of this type of move, especially at syracuse or criminal, I mean, florida state. Go Ponies!
Re: Vandy eliminates A Dept.I wouldn't say "Ken Pye Lives." He's gone and left us in the hole he dug for us. Note that vandy still has no significant changes to any policy regarding the recruitment, admission, or standards of the "student-athlete."
Go Ponies!
Re: Vandy eliminates A Dept. For many BCS schools merging the athletes with the student body would be of not benefit. However, merging the athletes with the local police department might cut down on serious crime in the community. I think Baylor is about to find out about value of the police policing the athletic department.
