Had a long conversation yesterday with Ben Poynter. He mentioned the shoulder injury Caleb Peveto suffered last year. Couple of things that caught my attention:
• Peveto hurt the shoulder against Sam Houston State, and played through it for the rest of the year. I didn't realize it had been hurt that early on.
• Peveto had surgery on the shoulder in the spring. Yesterday, he and Poynter both bench pressed 485 pounds, just a few months after shoulder surgery.
Poynter said nobody works harder in the weight room than Peveto. It's one thing for Poynter, who hasn't had shoulder surgery, to bench that kind of weight. The fact that Peveto did it leads me to believe Poynter is right about his buddy's work ethic.
