Pretty amazing that in 2007, 4 of the top 25 on that list played HS ball in North Texas. There may be others, but I'm referring to Willis (Denton); Daniel (Southlake); Stafford (HP); and Harrell (Ennis). You've got to credit the local HS coaches for implementing the spread offense and other passing schemes that get these kids ready for the next level.

Nice to see him ranked ahead of Tulsa's Smith, too. I know Smith is older, but I can't see him finishing ahead of Willis in the all-conference voting. Without guessing at wins and losses, if you have one season to play and you have a choice of Willis and Smith as your starting QB, Willis seems like a no-brainer.
