For the first time since 2002, Texas Tech will open preseason football practices today in Lubbock with the same starting quarterback as the previous season.

Junior Graham Harrell of Ennis is one of only four returning offensive starters for the Raiders.

The last starting quarterback to return from the previous season was Kliff Kingsbury in 2002, when the Red Raiders finished 9-5 and won the Tangerine Bowl over Clemson.
