You mean other programs have kids that transfer out of their program too?
What are the odds?

From DMN:
"DENTON – Roy Loren, a senior who was projected to start at strong safety, is no longer with UNT, coach Todd Dodge said The transfer from Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College made 33 tackles in eight games last season."
"Dodge said redshirt freshman kicker Steven Woodward is also no longer with the team, leaving freshmen Clayton Teasdale, Trent Deans and Thomas Moreland to compete for the job."
First our QB and now our punter too????

I don't get animated about much anything, and this is the 2nd, may be 3rd post that I've commented on a xfer and their playbook knowledge (counting threads that got deleted...which I do get animated about b/c I lose posts); hardly cause for hyperbole. But I can't disagree whatsoever about Dodge being able to watch our film, much less your analysis of it. True is true, even if you are ripping on me about it. But I'm neither Patton nor Phire, so "flip out" isn't something that really fits. Give me a little room to work, here. It is a grudge match, though. And I so, so want it to be.
You are right that "flip out" is a big exageration on my part. And I certainly would not want to lump you into any category with general or phire, as I did not intend to insult you in that severe manner. I will go ahead and rephrase my original comment to read:
"Everytime someone transfers you seem to worry a tad more than you should about the potential of our former player revailing information about our playbook."
Sorry for the over the top accusation.

Back off the ledge. We have Thomas Morstead. Not the same guy.

What's my prize? A bowl game? A conference championship? Heck, I'll even take a winning season.

Well that depends. I can assure you one of these two AMAZING PRIZE PACKAGES. Tell him what he's won Johnny:
Package A- a winning season and a bowl game
Package B- your very own brand new head football coach
Time will tell which prize you get.

Perhaps we can steal that ECU play that we never stopped the entire game last year. The wide receiver screen.

nahh. I'd rather have the play UH ran with Aldridge. Any of them.

I hate to be politically correct and say stuff like "UNT played a great game against us" or "I can't take anything away from UNT" or whatever even though they did, in fact, outplay us.
But IMHO the "Debacle in Denton" had more to do with a green freshman quarterback, who had just barely survived with all his limbs in attached from the week prior in Lubbock, and was still a bit shell shocked. And the fact that Rusty didn't yet trust the offense with anything more than Offense 101. And Martin was running hesitant (he had 55 yards).
I mean come on, does even the most jaded among us think that Willis is going to go up to Denton and throw 15-19-1 for 112 this year? I think #16 will rack up closer to 312 than 112 this year.

Hopefully he doesn't do anything "up in Denton" since the game is at home this year.

Didn't he have those 55 yards in the first quarter, and then go down with an injury?

Yes. Arguably, SMU would have won had it not been for Martin going down. They would have had to stack the run, and eventually, somebody would have missed a coverage. The question would have been whether there would have been a catch. The receivers were off that day too.

We are going to hear all of these type of excuses from TCU when that game comes up. Best way to erase last years game (which is in the record book) is to make this one an unforgettable win of dominance. The follow it up with a solid defeat of ASU on the road and another "stunning" upset of TCU. For now we have to accept the NTSU loss and revel in the TCU victory.
