I must admit, the ticket office has failed big so far. But lucky for them, and bad for the Stangs, they won't be very busy after Saturday. I'm not taking a shot, just past years experience. This team better put on a show Saturday.
The same thing happened last year at the homecoming game, I'm making it a point to not need to use will call anymore
Dallas Mavericks - 2011 NBA CHAMPIONS!
Long live the Circle of Champions!
OK, apparently we haven't learned our lesson?I felt compelled to write a follow-up to my last week's musings about the ticket clusterfluck for the Labor Day game.
Yesterday, the line to get will-call was, oh, about 1 hour long at 630 and the line to purchase tickets was even longer. Having to buy tickets, i waiting about 30 minutes before hearing a rumor that they were selling tickets at gate 8 (cash only). I left my place in line to walk over towards gate 8 and an employee from SMU athletics told me that the only place to purchase tickets was back at the main ticket counter. i went back, and after 15 more minutes in line, decided to go look for a scalper - willing to pay any premium not to miss THE ENTIRE FIRST HALF like last week, and then found the gate 8 ticket counters selling cash tickets; well - one window was, and the other window (literally 30" apart) said she was sold out. nevertheless, finally got tickets and only missed the first quarter. How hard is it to sell 1000 game-time tickets and distribute them in an expedient fashion? GJF was 1/2 full!!!!!!!!!
Re: OK, apparently we haven't learned our lesson?
Call someone who cares and can maybe do something about it. Pick up the phone, dial as many people in the office and leave out the word clusterfuck and tell them about the problems. Everyone on here and at the game I'm sure knows how it went, so take all that anger and put it into a decent phone call.
