I thought the disclaimer "as long as that's the case" was very interesting. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to read between the lines there...

I didn't expect much this year. I really didn't. That being said, I never, even in my wildest dreams, believed that we could get to seven losses before the two game home stand.

Yes, I will there to have Lucy (Peanuts) pull the football away one more time. We are all masochists. Atleast the food on the vard is good! Come by! How about our old KA house in the CUSA commercials. It brought back good memories of harrassing the Kappa Sigs next door.

Anyone who watched the TCU, UTEP, and USM games realizes we could be 4-2. No blocked punt at TCU and the team isn't demoralized. No last second touchdown against UTEP, we win. No interception in the endzone or fumble on the 2, we're back in the game against USM. But all that's pointless because we're 1-5. So looking back and seeing that we didn't pull away from UNT until the last few drives is also pointless.

Against USM and UTEP, I saw a team that gave the games away, and let themselves get beat. Yes, all three of those games were winnable games and were must win games. We ought to be 4-2. But we're not, because we let the other team beat us. We have some tough sledding ahead of us. UH can light it up. Rice showed some offensive prowess. Tulsa is no slouch. UCF can beat you. Bennett's magic number is 2 losses. If this team does not get hot, they can only blame themselves for his departure. If they love their coach, it is in their hands to save his job. They have to do everything they can to win these next six games. Let's start with Tulane.
this pretty much sums it up. to the point, well said, and not unnecessarily derogatory.

Yep. Now go over the past 3 seasons and we have a lot of wins left on the table to bad coaching...

You obviously have no idea what I was trying to convey when I wrote that. I would spell it out, but that would only frustrate me further.

Having attended/watched all our games this year, we are much closer to 0-6 than 4-2. Light years closer.
Very true. Unfortunately I thought we'd be much, much better...but we could very easily be 0-6 at this point. The TCU game you speak of Perunaower, they turned it over twice in the end zone too. It goes both ways

Actually it looks like Steve O says he'll publicly speculate after a bowl is no longer possible. Does that mean he'll post on pf.com, with threads headed by a poll question "Who do you think I could hire?" Maybe he'll send a pvt messge to Peruna Ate My Rolex and ask him to Photo Shop SMU duds onto Paul Johnson, Terry Bowden (again), Dennis Franchione, Guy Morriss and Turner Gil?
