I know he had 4 offers. This is all I could find on Rivals(see below)-but Rivals completely missed on Sanders as he flew under the recruiting services' radar but not the Coaches radar. Rivals gave him a 4.9 rating which means that none of the analysts knew enough about him to give him a rating.

Chose SMU over Kansas, Houston, Baylor and TCU

It was obvious to anyone who saw him in the Texas State High School All Star Game that he was a great prospect-I could barely contain myself while posting about his performance in that game

SMU was better than Tulane easily but could not physically compete with Forte. Not Xs and O s at all--just physically could not stop Forte. In position all Nite-couldn't stop him because he was the only quality player on the entire field by both teams. How could you watch that fiasco and think we are not rebuilding on defense? Mark my words-this is going to take awhile.

How are we going to stop Houston's Anthony Alridge this year??? He might be the first to reach 600 yards rushing in one game when he takes us on this year!

Luckily Aldridge is not as big as Forte. Forte flat ran over our safeties. Hudman made two excellent open field tackles in front of the goal line and Forte just dragged him several yards to reach the endzone. We don't fare well against powerful running backs. I was at the Leaks game and had flashbacks. You knew what was coming, your players were where they were supposed to be and he still got free. Give Toledo credit, he knew to keep running the ball and running the ball and running the ball.

We can only hope for a Todd Graham-type who will come in and wake up the masses - win the first year - go to a bowl (and then take another job - leaving us with having to scrub his face off the equipment truck)
