99 YARD DRIVEWith the game on the line, we could not make a play. Tulsa average drive started at their 16! SMU started on it's 47! SMU got 5 turnovers.....and LOST! Once again, SMU managed to snatch defeat, from the jaws of victory.
The 99yd drive never should have been an opportunity for them. Why does my little pony (stallion) and others try to look at where we ended up and then blame it on the players. All day & all season the staff has not been coaching to win.
It is completely ridiculous and unfair to pin it down to one drive at the end of one game and say the players let this one go. This game, and this season, are on PB and his staff. He has no business coaching highschool, let alone D1 college football.
But those were the cards dealt-in a game winning situation-and you say oh well that didn't lose the game. [deleted]. There are bad plays and good plays in every game. Those that don't rise to the occassion go home with a Loss.
SMU's defense gave up 438 yards, which is scary since Tulsa had 5 turnovers. SMU should have been able to score more than 23 points on a bad Tulsa defense, without any turnovers.
