BIG TEX UPDATE PLEASE!!!!

Post by mrydel »

How did the surgery go? Is he ready to cook brats again yet? Inquiring posters want to know.

Honestly, hope all is ok and he is recovering well.

I second this request.

Will he be at the rice game?

Joke Menu for Special Delivery tent.
3 oz. portions of Tofu Chicken with ginger spice. Cucumber dip with fresh sprouts and to top it off, whole grain organic blue tortilla chips with conola oil cheese topping.

GO BIG TEX.

Thanks for the inquiry mrydel and BUS.

Big Tex had triple bypass surgery done Monday.

He regained consciousness Tuesday morning and is doing well.

Tex should be out of intensive care Wednesday
afternoon and out of the hospital within a week to ten days.

Big Tex has some other health issues so he may not be back
to full strength for about 6-8 weeks.

We are officially applying Big Tex for a "Blvd Medical Red-shirt"
for the rest of this year and we look forward to his return to the
BLVD and SMU football games next year.

Thanks again guys and everyone else for their concerns
and prayers for Big Tex.

Sounds good. Get that medical waiver so he can be on the grill next year. We can make it through the remaining games with backups as long as we do not burn any redshirts, or brats. Send him our regards.

Thank you for the good word.

By all means take the rest of the season to re-hab. We are going to need Tex-talent next year.

Craig let us know if there is anything we can do to help.

Peace Out.

When his rehab is over, I'm sure Vic Viloria will get him in midseason shape for 2-a-days next year.

Here's to a full and speedy recovery.

Suggestion: How about a BIG 'get well soon' card for everyone to sign on The Blvd. at Homecoming to be delivered to Big Tex afterwards?

Glad to hear he made it out of surgery A-OK. Definitely get that medical redshirt waiver for him!

Sorry. Meant to say 'at homecoming'. Thanks for the catch. It's been edited in the original post.

I checked in on Big Tex today, and it looks like he won't be getting out of ICU for another day or two. He's in stable condition though. He said that he really appreciates all of his Mustang pals!
