Rape is not religious. Maybe you will go to prison some day? After you come out of prison you may wish to enlighten us all about rape. I think you are a lawyer from your posts. I'm not there but am a paralegal as well as a social worker. Lawyers go to jail sometimes. If you do, please post. This is not a religious thing. This is about trying to hire the best coach we can. SMU has the $ and please don't tell me some lame [deleted] excuse you don't. HUNT, ring a bell, BUSH, ring a bell, as many other oil guys/gals out there. Don't say you don't have the $ as it is just so unbelievable that it is in the same league as getting Jimmy Johnson.

Reply to myself. Maybe we could hire God. This would bring SMU to # 1 real fast. May have problems with ND. Second thought, Bad hire.

Barnett did not rape anyone and from what I have read he has been totally cleared of everything except the languish of making a politically incorrect statement. And just because I think you are being hypocritical, I will go on record as saying I would not be happy with Mariucci just so you can not say all would be happy with him any more. So there.

Rape is not religious.
Hang on here. Who did Barnett Rape? Or how did he condone rape? What the hell?
I thought Barnetts comments on the Chicker were pretty funny, and probably on point. I must have missed something in there (not a first I know lol).

Man you put the petal to to the medel. That was pretty harsh. Well, no he was not involved in any way. But there is a perception. I will try from my SFSU background to explain why. Ford owns Lincoln and Mercury, they also own controlling interest in Mazda. A person can buy a 2007 Escape and get $3000.00 off. Same for the Mariner. But the exact same car or SUV, from the same factory, Mazda Tribute gets 1,000.00 off. Mazda is thought to be a Japanese car and it is. The Tribute is is made in the same factory. What I am trying to say is perception is a big deal. Perception is what America lives by and is a big deal.

So what you are saying to my SMU background is that you are a slick talking used car salesman that knows how to rip people off by giving them false impressions about vehicles. Well I am saying from my SMU background that Gary Barnett has been cleared of all accusations against him (fact) and is an excellent candidate. Perhaps he can consider Mariucci as a coordinator. Would that satisfy you? We could have Mariucci keep an eye on Barnett so he does not go around raping and pillaging the girls on campus because I am sure from your eyes that is the impression he has left on all the kids that he mentors.

Yes, but hoping that someone goes to jail and gets rumphumped because you didn't have your facts straight... that wasn't harsh at all lol.

It is so obvuios that you went to SMU and I went to SFSU. I think I got a much better education. Anyway, back to Barnett. I have no problems as to who he sleeps with. If SMU clears him then we/us /SMU should hire him. It seems to me that you guy's/gals sell your Univ. short. You degrade SMU (who would come here) When I was 10 I used to sit by the radio and TRY to pick up your games. Sometimes I could and sometimes I couldn't and sometimes in the the middle. Ask the people that are running this Country for some $. In a way this is so rediculous. GWB is President of the United States Of America. He is going to put his library on your campus. I doubt this will go unnoticed. If you need $ what other university has any leverage.

That's really saying something as it appears to be have elements of an acknowledgement that maybe -- just maybe -- he's capable of being wrong once or twice a year.

By the way. I did a little reading on Mariucci and found that his past two firings were not due to coaching but rather run ins with management where he was trying to assume levels of authority above what his superiors desired. His back stabbing and attitude gave cause for them to show him the door. In other words, he could not play nice with others. We sure do not need someone of that kind at SMU.

You're right. It's obvious.
