Don't think I can classify Leach as a Yankee unless he used to play for Steinbrenner.

bigdaddy I hate to say it but if you really believe the the old ball coach would not be able to handle himself, and that he has no swagger your just stupid.

I may be stupid, but let me point out something to you that obviously you don't understand newbie. The old ball coach coaches in the heart of the Delta, and previously at Florida (last college job I think). The recruiting process at these schools work by themselves, athletes just walk off the street to these schools. The old ball coach may have to actually go into the homes of the HS athletes and recruit players. He is an [deleted], and everyone in college football knows that. Texans hate [deleted], because they think everyone should kiss their [deleted]. The old ball coach aint kissing [deleted]. This board will rip his [deleted] if he wins or not. Another example, Mike Leach at TT. Lubbock cannot stand this man. The first losing season and he is gone. The old ball coach is not the fit for SMU. We need someone with Texas ties, understands Texas. All our players are from Texas.[/quote

Hey man I don’t know you so the only thing I can really say about you is that you are way over the top on this one. Just so you know his name and his national championship not to mention that little trophy he won, as a player/ will sell them selves.
Never take the path of least resistance.

[deleted] are welcomed to Dallas if they bring wins with them. People hated Deion before he came here and helped win a Super Bowl. T.O. even has support here now. Spurrier could get a lot of talent to stay in a city that is one of the top 3 or 4 HS football hotbeds in the country. We can't say that about the "nice guys" who've been here in the last 20 years.
