Oh my god, I am so tired of the players getting the blame. People are letting the coaching staff way too easily. If you lose a close game every now and then, then some times it could be the players fault. But week after week we have been in the game but lose in the last 5 minutes. Today was plain and simply poor coaching in the last 3 minutes of the game. A good coaching staff has their team ready for these situations and the players know they need to run out the clock. Watch some of the other college games and you will see this happen. But not with us. As for admiring PB more, fine, as a lame duck, I give him credit for getting out there, but his staff has made the same mistakes all year. Runnning the clock out is not that difficult, yet we cannot do it.
Any of us could have called that last drive and made it work. What was the only play that made yardage??????
Yeah, that's right, a play that broke down and JW had to scramble. And what does he do?? He runs out of bounds! That is our best play, so what do we do on 3rd and 8? We throw it and run a grand total of 4 seconds off of the clock.
Everyone that keeps letting this coaching staff off the hook for the multitude of close game losses are just incredibly gullible. This is yet another game that we SHOULD have won.
