The moment he replaced Lindley out on the corner, we started to shut Memphis down. He gave a great performance.

He did have the closest coverage I have seen this year from any of our DBs.

He has a great future..he is very, very good. Hopefully he may yet grow a little taller although he must have springs in those legs.

With McCann and Bell as our corners for the next couple of years, we have the makings for some pretty good pass defense barring injury. Now if we can just find some linebackers that are fast and weigh more than 205 lbs! (Preferably 230 lbs or more!)

I dunno. I kinda liked McCann at safety.

McCann has not yet convinced me as a corner.

Not taking anything away from the Panthers of Hillcrest but Derrius has been a Eagle from the 6 in under of the Boys club to the closing of his entire family Alma Mater Wilmer Hutchins and he will represent them well just give him a chance to do so. Eagles bleed blue.
Derrius can truly say he is an Eagle, Lion, Panther and now a Mustang. LOL
He loves them all.

Not to mention some DL who can pressure the QB. No CB on the planet can look good if the QB has all day to find an open target

Bell played great - he is another bright spot for next year. Other bright spots are Yenga, Jones and Leonard.
