Where is LonghornFan68?

Postby MrMustang1965 » Sat Nov 24, 2007 12:31 am

I know he's a supporter of SMU and I appreciate that....just wondering where he is tonight and what he's doing after the 'Horns loss to the Aggies. Probably drowning his sorrows somewhere down on 6th Street in Austin. Perhaps ThadFilms can give us a report???

Mack Brown ruined my Thanksgiving
November 23, 2007
by Brad Holt

Each year the one game that I look forward the most is the Texas vs. AM game. A game full of tradition like the Bonfire and the Texas and Aggie Breakfast Bash from 590 KLBJ. All these traditions are what make this game one of my favorites.

For the second year in a row, Texas has come to play the Aggies with lack luster results. Playing like a junior varsity second squad barly knowing their assignments on the field. A&M comes to play like a team with a mission. That mission this year is to save their head coaches job.

Well Mack, you ruined my Thanksgiving by not coaching this team to a victory and giving us a chance at the Big Twelve Championship. The offense was terriable, except for Charles and Cosby. The Defense was so tierd for being on the field for more than 2/3’s of the game. What surprises me is the offense, being so fresh, could not overcome the Aggies.

To the Aggies with their yelling and carrying on, They make it a point to at least hurt one person during the game. Colt last year and Jamal this year. I am frankly tired of that.

I think this is a new tradition. Texas wins all the games that don’t matter and when it counts, then the team just falls apart.

I am to pissed off to write anymore. Mack Brown should leave this program before his name is tarnished. Go out before the team realy sucks and you can’t get any other work, like you need it. I tired of Mack Brown and his staff of mediocrity.

Actually he is in Sant Antone/on his way back from San Antone... went to some metal show there.... If I could report the names of the bands I would, but his taste in music lends me to forget all the names of the bands because they all sound the same.

He complained to me many moths ago that there was a metal show in SA that he really wanted to go to to, he was bummed because of the Texas game, and he couldn't figure out what he was going to do. I wuestioned, "well isn't this years game in College Station?" "Yeah." "Hasn't that game been an afternoon game on Friday traditionally?" Yeah." .... "Well I don't want to state the obvious, but drive to San Antone and sit your keister at a sports bar nearby the show!!" .... He told me I was "a genius".... I of course told him that's why I went to SMU. I kid. I kid.

Of if I know anything about LF68, and I know a lot, some poor wall in SA got a whole punched into it. Seriously last year, the two of us just witnessed a gut wrenching Pony loss (to the f-in' Coogs) I suggested we hit Milo Butterfinger for the pos game cry in our beers plus Texas game watching (for him... for me? .... to drink as much as humanly possible). I sincerely think his fist pounding broke holes all the way to the Ice House as Texas got undressed by Kansas State.

Anyhow, I think he may have some good insight on our plight if he logs in tonight.

My bet is that he won't.

Though I do love this image of Emmanuel Sanders hauling in one of his two touchdowns in that '06 loss -

I'm here.

Today was not a good day. Texas, well, they stunk up the joint.

Then I thought, hey. I get to go see my favorite band play tonight and my second favorite band as well. And then I find out that my favorite band was involved in an accident and the drummer was killed and the lead singer is in critical condition.

My second favorite band brought the house down, though.

And for the record, F Aggy.

Thanks. Things like that remind you that life is way too fragile. Enjoy and cherish the people around you because tomorrow they may not be there. And if they are, you are lucky.

There's just something eerily ironic about that. :(
