New BCS

Postby George S. Patton » Sun Nov 25, 2007 4:38 pm

1. Missouri -- plays OU on Saturday for Big 12 title and BCS title game berth
2. West Virginia -- plays Pitt in backyard brawl on Sat.
3. Ohio State -- Rose Bowl or BCS title game
4. Georgia -- Done with the season but still a shot at BCS game?
5. Kansas -- Better hope Oklahoma loses

I can't decide who I want to see play for it all. Kansas shouldn't be #5. I am sorry but they played nobody all year and they blew a chance to show what they're made of. They should be a top 10 team. I hope Mizzou does win even though I am an OU fan since I don't want the buckeyes playing for it all again. While a Mizzou/WVU title game is not appealing at all to me better them than Ohio St or Kansas.

Looks like Hawaii is going to crack the BCS provided that they beat Washington on Saturday:

It's not a done deal even if they beat Wahington. Arizona St. is one below them and plays a slightly stronger team this week. As long as ASU doesn't blow it, they will remain significantly ahead of Hawaii in the computers.

Also, Tennessee is 2 behind Hawaii and will play for the SEC championship. If they beat LSU, I have to believe that the voters would put the SEC champ ahead of Hawaii even with 2 losses. The computers already have Tenn. ahead.

Hawaii's best hope is for BC to lose to VT in the ACC, and BC to drop below them to give them some cushion from ASU and Tennessee.
