Hi guys, Army fan here. Just so you know, your tax dollars aren't paying PJ's salary. Annapolis alumni pay him that much because they know what will happen to their program if he leaves (they would either have to find another one-in-a-million coach or become us). If you guys get him, you will win C-USA within 3 years and probably be threatening for a BCS bowl in five. It's almost impossible these days to duplicate the kind of success he has had at a service academy. Our recruits (like yours) have to be smart, and they also have to be willing to commit to a five-year service obligation (which, as you can imagine with the current situation in Iraq and elsewhere, is a dealbreaker for most).
You have to understand that the reason he emphasizes the ground-game aspects of his offense at Navy is that he has to utilize the talent he has on hand. If he had a quarterback he would pass the ball; when he was OC at Hawaii they put it up a LOT. Those of you who are worried -- don't be. He wins everywhere he goes. I promise you, you will not be disappointed.

Thanks, Holden,
Our respect for USMA, USNA and USAFA is very high. I would love to steal Johnson, despite being ex-Navy LTj.g.
I can't wish you luck this Saturday against Navy, but I do for every other game you play and, more importantly, for the bigger commitment when the cadets become 2nd Lieutenants.
Thanks again.

We are not gonna succeed with this hire. Orsini and Johnson know that the nuecleus of players we have do not fit the triple option. Neither Orsini or Johnson will be willing to put their careers in jeopordy with this hire. This part of the country does not fit the triple option. We are in Texas where we spread it and throw it. Our recruiting will get worse than what it is and we will fail. The ticket and all that want PJ are terribly wrong and will regret it the next 3-5 years.

I'm sorry you're worried about Willis' passing stats, but don't be, he would be a brilliant flexbone QB.

Nobody knows what the hell Johnson would run here but if he does run the triple option and wins then we'll all be happy. His triple option is almost as exciting as the spread if anyone has actually ever watched it. Was the spread exciting here under PB? Are 3 and 4 yard dink passes fun to watch-that is a big part of the spread.

Not worried about JWill. This offense just pushes his running stats to 1200 - 1500 for the year, but we will not win. Winning is the key for the TEAM. This would have been the yeat to worry about JWills passing stats don't you think? We are 1-11 and JWill passes for 3000 yards and 25 TD's. Who the hell does that on a 1-11 team? JWill will do whatever the next HC wants, but he and the rest of the team want to win worse than we do!
