Paul Johnson must read this blog!
Why else would he choose Georgia Tech over SMU? If this post pushed Johnson to pick the Rambling Wreck over the wreck on the Hilltop, let me offer my most sincere aplogies to Pony fans.
I'm not sure SMU can totally blame this here blog for Johnson's decision, though. There's a slim chance Johnson might have considered factors other than my North Texas-educated opinion.
ACC vs. Conference USA (or Sun Belt or WAC or MAC or Mountain West)? Not too tough of a choice, the Duke job being the exception. Especially when you consider that Georgia Tech, which won a national title in 1990, is about to make its 14th bowl appearance since SMU made its last one.

I have no problem with your opinion that the G-Tech job might be significantly more attractive than the SMU HC job. What I do have a serious problem with is you calling a potential candidate a fool for considering SMU. I would have the same problem if you said that about a UNT candidate.
Also, your sarcastic attitude on this blog does nothing to make me think higher of you.
