Fran always bugged me with his whiney little voice when he was a froggy.

That said - I would be fine with him here - I think his recruiting inroads would be great for us - his staff would be a huge upgrade, and our game day mgmt would 200% better. I dont see much downside, expecially given we are in CUSA. He is young enough to have some energy left and he has built two progams up from basically scratch in the relative near term.

his little info issue was a great excuse to get rid of him by alums who were ready to take the next step (sound familiar - see our basketball program). He would do great here.

I agree with the pro Fran group that he would be a good hire. But since SO has not hired him he is not going too . Otherwise if he was he would already have been on the recruiting trail for us. There are other canidates so maybe SO will announce it before year end.

Not true.

My sources say Fran is not the top choice, but if the top choice
falters then Fran will be the guy.

So the "if it was Fran he'd already be here" is not accurate.

Fran could still end up being at the podium with the Mob Boss.

I'm a Fran Fan so if he will sign why wait? Of the coaches that are available which one has more Tx recruiting connections than Fran? Patience is a virtue but the waiting is wearing on me. Maybe we will know who our HC is going to be this year.
