Latest update on the Arkyland whitewash

Postby ponyte » Sun Dec 30, 2007 11:02 am

Officially, the inquiry still continues. McFadden isn't saying a word publicly. When ask what color the brand spanking new Cadillac Escalade was (you remember, the one he drove over 5 hours down to Dallas), McFadden said, "They tell me it is black." One guesses old Darren is colorblind. Also, there is a nice defense about the in question agent. He is too honorable and ethical to ever do something like buy a potential client a new vehicle. Conley wasn't there when the vehicle was bought (Just as I, the poor slug that is paying for it, wasn't there when my daughter got a car for college). When money is involved for a high profit vehicle, one can imagine the dealer making accommodations but here in Arkyland, if one isn't present then it never happen (remember that Denial isn't just a river in Egypt). Conley is Greg Oden's agent (#1 pick in the NBA draft a year ago).

And of course Chief Inspector Jacques Clouseau (Frank Broyles) is still hot on the investigation.

They'll probably get it all sorted out sometime around January 2.

Doesn't Broyles leave office effective tomorrow?

I thought that it is admirable that McFadden is not one that recognizes color as an issue in today's world.

What will be most interesting about this will be the treatment of Channel 4 and its reporter in comparison to Dales Hanson and WFAA. I would imagine that Channel 4 in Little Rock will be under going some massive management changes in the near future.

I think so. And he's taking his brand new black Escalade with him.

It was officially described as a loaner and dropped at that point.
