The more that defenses adapt to the Spread and go with more DB's, smaller and faster linemen and backers, the more likely that offenses will go back to adding a fullback and tight end and start going to full out running attacks. The spread is a very close relative to the single wing. Florida's attack is even more single wing focused. The WV spread attack is a modified version of the veer and their FB killed OU last night. They did not have an answer for that kid. I would love to see that attack at SMU with McKinney and Martin playing that role and Mapps and Butler playing the HB. Throw in the option of using your TE like Missouri does and you might have a really good attack. We only have 3 effective receivers so this would be a good fit for SMU. Still don't know how to fix the defense though.
