Was is just me or did the offense this week begin to move the ball when the reciever combination went tall. I recall Hodges, Pellerin and Jaymond were in and there seemed to be a spark, as well as some respect from the DB's......well I have a great idea for a first rate reciever to join that group and create a twin towers connection.....Jamar Bey,6'5" 215, fast with Bball skills, can control the jam at the line and wants to play offense......now that would be interesting and worth watching...

I would love to have some big guys...but I don't know...If it were that easy, they probably would have done it by now(I hope). But its wishful thinking and I think we could use anything at this point..

Bobby Chase is 6-4 and headed to the Hilltop.
Jamar Bey will stay at DE. I like your idea - imagine the headaches he could cause - but the coaches think he could become a really good DE. Remember, he only played one year of football in high school, so he's still learning.
Hmmm .... Jamar Bey, Mark Hodges, Reynaldo Pellerin, Ryan Kennedy and the Chase brothers. How'd you like to be a defensive coordinator against THAT lineup? I know this - I sure would like to be a QB with that group running around out there.

Hodges will stay at TE. Coach Bennett really likes the options 86 presents there, with his speed and athleticism.
I still remember the day Jamar Bey signed with SMU, and I went to the thing where Coach Bennett talks about recruiting with alumni. He described Bey as being "so fast he gets there in a bad mood."
Still doesn't make sense, but damn, it was funny.

Ikus... in responsed to your comment about Hodges. The coach likes him at the TE position with his speed & athleticism. He seemed to adjusted well to the TE position ( I believe a position in which he have never played before ). Everyone talks about Phillips ability to run and ability to hold on to the ball. Hodges is 6'4" I think 220lbs. and run about 4.6. Pretty quick for a big guy. In high school, his team ran the ball alot not allowing him to have alot of passing yardage, he played a big part of the running game and pass when he could. Hodges made alot of quick and smart decisions that helped his HS team. He is quick to turn upfield, he also adept @ using his quickness to get to the sideline to draws the defense to him as he quickly pitch the ball the to running back. From what I've seen of him in his HS school games. He made the play when it counts. If our QB is now able to run, Hodges should atleast have a chance to compete for the position, ( a position in which he has always played ) unless the coach thinks he just absolutely performed poorly at the QB position! Which I truly doubt! Imagine for a second.... what if .....?

Noquarter- should be no problem with tickets at the gate for the HP game. The Scots hope their defense shows up but likely it will continue to fail them in the early rounds of the playoffs. The SAW (score at will) offense will be the only thing keeping them in the games.
As to Bey, ... He is being wasted on defense. Stop playing players out of their regular God given positions. Linebackers are just that not DE's and DE's are not DT's. Also Bey is an offensive guy. He doesnt have the nasty of an Adami, Rodgers, Karrington, R Carrington etc.
