I attended the SMU-TCU game and the highlight of the game is when I noticed the field had been painted green between the 35 yard lines. I thought it was odd but couldn't tell why because the TCU band was on the field. Once the band moved to the stands I could see that Pony-Up was burned into the field. I loved it!
I also attended the SMU-UCF game and loved the experience, but could not believe the lack of support for the football program.
I also attended the SMU-TCU basketball game very exciting!
Since SMU doesn't have a baseball team I will be pulling for Dallas Baptist to defeat TCU.
I went to school with Turner Gill, and he has been my choice from the beginning, but I can see the upside to either Jones or Fran.
Keep the Faith!

Go Ponies!

YOU'RE PULLING FOR THE BAPTISTS!?!?!?!?!

I kid, I kid...

I assume that means you went to high school at Arlington Heights. Mrs. H-E-B and I are Heights graduates and Fort Worth refugees. Welcome aboard. Hopefully you have a thick skin and a lot of patience. You'll need it as a new pony.

What years? Not a Heights grad, but I knew a bunch of people there and one of my brothers graduated from there.[/quote

I attended Stripling Middle and then Heights until my sophomore year. I graduated from another FW High School in 1980.

My brother graduated in 84 or 85 from Heights. My oldest brother graduated Paschal in 1980.

I am a 1967 grad. Mrs. in 1969. We both went to Monnig Jr Hi, which is Stripling's rival. Paschal used to be Heights' archrival. But now that Paschal is 5A and Heights is 4A, I don't know if they still are. I probably would have gone to TCU if they had an engineering school at the time. Since they didn't, I chose SMU over Arlington State (UTA).

It looks like you made the right choice. You had something in common with UTA students, you both applied at SMU!
God Bless Arlington Heights! Home of John Denver, and NFL Kicker Tony barefoot Franklin.
