My favorite Kirk moment was when he actually did explode. Don't know if anyone watched the special on the greatest team of all-time. Involved online voting and a playoff. End result was 1995 Nebraska versus 1971 Nebraska. Of course this just meant Husker Nation most likely to win an online poll, but two very deserving teams nonetheless. He totally lost it. Even threw out a "the N stands for Knowledge" comment.

Way to know your audience Kirk. The only people watching at that point were Nebraska fans. Too bad you have to start rooting for them next year since your boy is their new coach!

I was a bit surprised that they didn't bring in John Saunders, Doug Flutie and Craig James on ESPN. I suspect Craig could have booked it to New Orleans from Dallas after the Jones Press Conference, or done a cut in from ABC Studios in Dallas.
