I posted on January 8 that it was June Jones. Yes, the announcement was on the 7th, but I suspended my disbelief that it was a cruel joke only after the job posting was removed from the SMU website.

Sorry, PhxFan, I was told in 1965 by someone VERY HIGH UP that this would someday happen. No names, but...

Hmm...you got me, you win. I don't think I can honestly say my grandfather posted it in the 1930s because there were no computers at that time.

Well, I was cleaning out the Band Hall a few years ago and I came across this empty bottle of Peruna that looked to be from the early 20s and in it was a note that said "In January of the year 2008, SMU will hire June Jones as its football coach." It was signed "Perunadamus."
