Jones quote on Andrew Robiskie

Postby Charleston Pony » Wed Feb 06, 2008 7:19 pm

"we see him as an outside linebacker"

at 6-1, 275? Obviously they see him slimmed down, but in what scheme? I like big LBs in the 3-3-5 but in a 3-4 don't those outside guys need more speed? With Odiari (at 250 lbs) and Robiskie in the LB mix, this defense looks like it is going to get bigger. Will Smart and Yenga also be competing for time as LBs?

Spring practice could really get interesting.

I think he was really talking about Andrew Ellison even thought the SMU transcript says different.

He is talking about Ellison. The transcript simply has a typo. Listen to the actual video on www.smumustangs.com

The transcript is a typo, that is supposed to be Andrew Ellison anticipated as an outside linebacker. Andrew Robiskie is a wrestler with great balance that will play center or guard for us.
