ROLL TIDE!

I just think it's sad that for someone who "played" (in quotes because can you really call Scout team playing?) at SMU, it's clear that Lebowski's real loyalties lie with Alabama.

Florida guy is correct in that Miami has the #1 recruiting class per ESPN. Bama has it according to Scout and Rivals... In the end who cares...they are both great classes.

SMU2007 - Miami's place was only because of the # please notice that Bama took 32 players to Miami's 33.

As with any school, top 10 through top 1 is greatly affected by what is in your state and what schools can pull from there. Bama had 3 5* recruits..and big surprise, bama got all 3. As much as I hate them, I think the Gators were the most impressive recruiters this year considering most of their big name guys were outside the state of Florida.

take a look at all those Miami guys who decided to stay home. Now, granted - Miami plays in the ACC but June Jones has indicated he and his staff will recruit Dallas hard and that's what should be happening.

In this day and time, these kids are strongly encouraged to stay around in the summer months and to participate in "voluntary workouts". I imagine that's tougher on the kids that come from other states. All the more reason to have a roster dominated by Dallas area kids, who get to stay close to home and play in front of family and friends.
