Saw this from USA today:

Top 10 from outside of the Big 6

"Since the Bowl Championship Series started in 1998, there have been many teams outside of the Big 6 conferences (ACC, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, Pacific-10, SEC) that had the talent to compete with anybody in the country. Our ranking of the best from each season of the BCS era:

•5. TCU (2005)

True, this team did not look nearly as impressive in their wins as some of the others in the list, but an opening win at Oklahoma boosted the resume. The Horned Frogs went 11-1 and ran the table in the Mountain West.
Their hiccup was a loss to Southern Methodist. There were no stars, and TCU was led by a defense that allowed 20 points or fewer eight times. The Frogs finished with a dramatic 27-24 win against Iowa State in the Houston Bowl."

Iron Skillet returns to The Hilltop in 2008:D

Thing about hiccups, you usually have more than one.. and they last for awhile.

Well - you couldn't pull off two in a row, as 21-7 last year will attest. And before that, well, you have to go back to the 20th century to find another victory. Here is how I see it. We are 20-21 against you all time at your place. I think we even it up this year.

Don't think. You'll hurt yourself.
