Paulaner Hefeweizen is greatness. Although both Stella and Pilsner Urquell are good, too.
But if I am going the less expensive route, Shiner Bock is about as low as I'll go.

At least no one said Steel Reserve. I home brew about 50% of the beer I drink (usually have a keg of Shiner Bock in there for people that don't like strong beer).
There are a few beer snobs on here - I've just about finished drinking my third batch of homebrew and am soliciting requests for what style to brew and pass out free on the boulevard (tailgating)
Stella is crap and overpriced. I would consider myself a beer snob. Pearl light only has 67 calories a can. It also tastes like water. I still prefer trappist ales and doppelbocks.
Sorry for the incoherent, tangent post.
Sir, shooting-star, sir. Frosh 2005 (TEN YEARS AGO!?!) The original Heavy Metal.

Put myself through college on Schaefer Light, which was at the time I think $6 a twenty.

mmm, trappist ales. Rochefort 10 is the best. Now we're getting into conversation worth registering for.

you will have a hard time finding Lonestar there...so yes you are in one...but on the upside Shiner is a good beer and perfectly acceptable, once you get to come to Dallas i encourage you to hit up Mustang Liquors and sample, Ziegenbock, Shiner Blonde an the other beers they make
