From my seat, Willis is the QB.

Good call, jt. Actually, I have, and as pony warrior suggested, his responses have been basically (paraphrasing here) "it's early, we're evaluating, we've got a lot of guys we like, they're all learning, they'll get better, etc."

I think it's smart on his part not to announce a starter this early. If he says Willis is my starter and all the sudden Logan Turner looks outstanding and Willis is sucking wind, he will be have to reevaluate his choice and at the same time send a message that he doens't stick by his choice. Bottom line though, it's a typical coaching answer. Don't pin yourself into a corner.

I don't want him to announce Willis as his starter.

I don't want him to announce Willis as his starter. Anything other than "he's done what we asked him and has been reinstated" would be nice. He has mentioned other QB's performance by name, but not the guy who should be the starter. Leads me to think he's got somebody else in mind. I hope not.

I invoke the Rule of Optional Completeness.

That is a pretty rotten means of editing. Jtstang has said he wanted Willis from the outset. He just did not believe he would be , and he was right.

All this Justin Willis talk on PonyFans is eerily similar to the coverage of Brett Favre on ESPN....

Needless to say, I am excited to hear about Willis' first penalty lap of 2 a days and hope it gets excessive coverage.

JW has been running his self-inflicted penalty lap since he stopped going to class and got into JJ's dog house.
