He is wasting his time here and those advising him need to get him out of here ASAP. If he has any hope of pursuing his football career he needs to transfer NOW or at least after the Rice game.
Anytime you have a coach put not one but two true fresh. QB's in front of you, it's a clear sign that your career is over. Its like the guy who sticks around after his girlfriend tells him she's seeing someone else but he still thinks he has a chance. Move On.
I know he's trying to be a bigger man by handling this well in the public eye but this is one time he should rightfully act in a selfish manner.
So im guessing you are no longer advising him. Why would he transfer, he wont be starting by September if he does, if he cant pick up this new system in a matter of weeks at practice and studying it all summer, what makes you think he can learn a new system at a new school in a matter of a month. NO WAY...
he is making the best decision staying here. having a degree that says SMU at the top is a lot better than having a degree that says "Sam Houston State University" at the top
Over many years I have worked in many countries. Most business people outside of the US have never heard of SMU.
