Tom Landry Classic at Ford Stadium Saturday

Postby MrMustang1965 » Mon Aug 25, 2008 1:29 am

Highland Park will attempt to become the first Texas high school team to win 700 games when it plays Red Oak on Saturday at SMU's Ford Stadium.

Highland Park-Red Oak is the second half of the annual Tom Landry Classic doubleheader. The curtain-raiser is longtime power Southlake Carroll against Plano West.

I like the fact that SMU makes money off that thing, but it's such a beating when you can't get through campus.

HP should really get rid of those Bagpipes, Scottish kilts and their dress wearing Scot mascot-it makes them look like Sissies. I say they they switch the plaids to military camouflage, drive Humvies and use a commando raider as their mascot instead to look tougher.

How cool would it be if they had a real full sized scottish highlander! There can be only one!

It might be worth it just to check out Kyle Padron's first start at Ford.

I'm told he's more mobile than you think. But whoever goes out to see can judge for themselves. My god, this is the keeper of the star's annual chance to ACTUALLY watch a high school game in person.
