ramon flanigan article

that article was great. this kind of analysis really helps my understanding of offensive strategy. i do have some terminology questions though:

need precise definitions of: slant, fade route, dig route. is a fade kind of the mirror of a post route, only to the flag?

i know where the hash marks are, but where exactly are the "seams"? is the seam the space between linebackers? if so doesn't it change with different defenses and nuumber and even movement of linebackers? if so how do the qb and receivers know where the "seam" will be on a given play?

any of you self admitted football geniuses can chime in.

keep up the great work ramon!

ok, here's question for ramon: your rice game assessment of the smu recievers caused you to say they are very talented. yet vaunted expert stallion says this group of receivers is the worst droup ever in d1, with only robinson and sanders above high school all- district level.

without being too undiplomatic, what did you see in the films that cause you to make your comment?
