I am optimistic about our offense though we are not there yet. Big Improvement. If we did this vs. Rice we could have won.

Defense was scary. Did not force one punt against a team that only scored what, 21 vs. San Angelo.

Stats are reflective of this:
Passing offense #10, Scoring #31.

Rush #106, Total #108, Pass Eff D #113

Here is the key shocker: #118, dead last, 3rd down conversion defense giving up conversions 71% of the time, more than 4% worse that the next worst team. :cry:

Morstead is #3 in punting.

Special teams get an incomplete.

Punting and net punting very good. Punt returns - none. KOR and kick coverage only average. Nice blocked extra point and run back. Extra point kicks seem OK after the first game.

They were pooching KOs for a majority of the game, you can't expect to get awesome returns on stuff like that.
