Won't be any dust blowing. Dust storms do occur, but only in the late winter/early spring when there has been no moisture and there are no crops growing in the fields. Lubbock has had plenty of moisture lately. Weather will be nice, maybe a little breezy.
Believe it or not, the average wind velocity in Lubbock is only slightly higher than what it is in the DFW area.
