All I can say is that we will miss Thomas Morestead!!! After he had just made an apparent field goal and the flag for holding was thrown, he told everyone to calm down, he didnt mind another 5 yards!!! A smooth 44 yard field goal!!!

Then during half time, he had Galloway set up on the 50, snapped the ball and kicked it 60 yards with plenty to spare. He will certainly be playing in the pros!!!

My brother relayed a tail to me tonight, he was talking to a buddy of his who is an NFL scout.... he asked "Any ponies on your watch list?" The response...

"Besides Morestead?"

I hope he gets a shot at a 60 yarder during the season or get a drop kick opporunity...he deserves an ESPN highlight or two! The punt that was fumbled was TOWERING!!!!

He did seem disappointed in the first half to kick that little short punt away from the returner.

As PerunaPunch said to me at the game, that punt was dropped due to the heat generated during re-entry. :)
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Oh dear.... PerunaPunch's quote there, PK, made me tear up with laughter. That was great. Just so unexpected to read that.

kicked it 60 yards with plenty to spare.

Rumor 'round the water cooler is that he can drop kick from 60.

Anyone remember the website and Heisman campaign that some USC students did for their punter? I thought about doing the same for T-More, but ultimately decided it was played out.

Do it. And yes I, too, have heard the drop kick thing.
