GETTING DEFENSIVE with Allan Adami: Go out fighting

Postby PonyPride » Fri Nov 28, 2008 12:06 pm

Our man Allan Adami checks in again to talk about the Mustangs' game Saturday against Southern Miss. He talks about the struggles his team had during his playing career, and how much it helped him to walk off the field for the last time ... as a winner.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Thanks Allan for all your efforts for us, the SMU fans, and for your encouraging words for the current players.

I have gotten to know the Adami family over the years, and they are great friends, and Mustangs.

Like a lot of Mustangs, Allan (and his brother) took his lumps on the field, but I'm glad the Adamis remain such loyal Mustangs. It's also nice to see that while he is disappointed with the number of games SMU won while he played, he remembers that last feeling, that victory in his last SMU game.

Here's hoping this year's seniors can experience the same thing... and screw up Southern Miss's plans in the process.
