Mack's trying to Al Gore-it, change the rules, confuse the issue - steal it. And it will probably work.

What are you talking about? The tie breaker leaves this up to the BCS, which is affected by two human polls. I believe this is the first time a divisional tie breaker has turned to the BCS poll. The voters have to try and rank teams relative to one another, and the season hangs in the balance.

How can you possibly suggest that a head to head data point is not useful in ranking two teams on a relative basis? Furthermore, look at what has happened: Tech is out of the conversation. The big 12 south winner is going to be Texas or Oklahoma.

Now....how should we decide who is better....hmmm.....wait...these teams played at a neutral site, HEAD TO HEAD. And let's not even bother to consider that sending Oklahoma means the championship game will feature two teams that have already lost to Texas

Tech is out of the conversation.

Tech is not out of the conversation - Texas got beat by an inferior team. Their loss was against a worse ranked team than OU's loss. Mack is the quintessential whiner - sore loser.

i think he meant that Tech is out of the conversation because they were ranked way lower in the BCS than UT or OU and the fact that they nearly lost to BU

Exactly. Like I said, there is NO QUESTION that the Big 12 South champion will be either Texas or Oklahoma, not Texas Tech.

As for attacking Mack, Treadway, you realize you are going after one of the classiest coaches in college football, who happens to have won 200 games, not to mention has 8 straight 10-win seasons????

Do you think that either Leach or Stoops would pull their starting QB with 12 minutes left in the situation Mack was in on Thursday night? BCS aside, he took the high road even against the Aggies and even as the Colt argued to stay in the game. Check out the scoring summary for the last 3 minutes of last night's OU game if you think I'm wrong.
