Former Houston Cougars RB Ganaway plans to transfer to Baylor

According to the Waco Tribune-Herald, former Houston Cougars running back Terrance Ganaway plans to transfer to Baylor this summer where he will reunite with coach Art Briles.

Ganaway played for Briles at Houston during the 2007 season, rushing for 550 yards and scoring six touchdowns as a true freshman.

To be honest, I thought that Ganaway had transferred last year and sat out this year and will be eligible this coming year. No?

Article says he is transferring this summer

I don't think UH would release him to Baylor-so he went to CC and went around that obstacle. There are rumblings that QB Marve might do the same thing to get around Miami's restrictions. If you go the JUCO/CC route there's nothing Miami can do about it-he could go to any school he wants.

Ok. Thanks. I knew that the talk of him joining Briles was around a year ago.

I'm not saying he isn't, it just seems odd to me that a kid would go through all of this just to be with a coach.
