Doak would be great today as would Babe Ruth. Babe trained on booze and cigars, none of this steroid crap for him. Considering he had more home runs by himself than most teams in a dead ball era, shows you how much of a freak of nature he was. In today's era with thin bullpens, bandbox stadiums, and live baseballs, he'd make Barry Bonds look like a punk.

its been 25 year since Craig James became the last white RB in the NFL to run for over 1,000 yards.

Although my memory is fading, I recall that Walker may still hold the school record for the longest punt in the Cotton Bowl at 86 yard. Seem to recall Kyle Rote was just behind him with a kick of 82 yards.

Doak played before steroids (BS), and he played at about 175 lbs. He was an all around athlete that chose football as his game.

No one in present day sports can even come close to him as a natural athlete and human being.

I followed Doak and Kyle to SMU. They were true heros. Someone kids could try to emulate with pride.
