NFL (Not for long)

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football ... ackles.htm

So it’s raining I’m bored and thinking about football, SMU this season, and how it used to be for me watching my son, the draft ranking bla bla bla.

This is why I follow SMU because I fell in love with the game, doing what few parents will ever get the chance to do. And it never has to end if you adopt a local team.

Here was the way my kid ranked out of all the tackles in college football for the 2004 draft. # 22 Kyle Watkins.

I did a search on every player ranked in the top 25 that were tackles in 2004 and none of them are playing in the NFL except #1 and #2. That is a short life. So parents make sure your kid graduates, their going to need the paper.

Here is a list of a few of the guys Kyle played with that have done well for them selves in the NFL, AND ARE STILL PLAYING

Asante Samuel Cornerback Philadelphia Eagles

Michael Gaines Tight End Detroit Lions

Brandon Marshall Wide Receiver Denver Broncos

Matt Prater Place kicker Denver Broncos

Max Starks plays for the Steelers. He started 11 games last year.
Stacy Andrews signed with the Eagles this year as a Free Agent.Started 15 games last year.
Kirk Chambers shows as being with the Bills. Started 4 games last year.
Not in the top 25 but Jake Scott plays for the Titans.

I put thier names in and they show active today.

http://www.nfl.com/players/search?categ ... pe=current

Perhaps the site was down yesterday or being updated because Starks did not show active. Kyle played with Atari Bigby I checked that yesterday he did not show up as well, but is listed at RFA today what ever that is.

Kind of amazing all the old links that are still up.

Number 28, Adrian Jones, a Dallas Carter grad, started for the Jets for a few years.

Number 48, John Glud from TCU, has managed to continue his weight-gaining journey and easily tips the scales at 400+. Unfortunately, he's no longer playing football.
