DALLAS (SMU) - Just weeks after the Mustangs' 2009 schedule was announced, two games have already been slated for national television broadcasts. The annual State Farm DFW Duel - Battle for the Iron Skillet game against TCU will be televised on The Mtn. with a 7 p.m. kickoff on Oct. 3, and the Mustang's game with C-USA Western Division rival Houston will be aired on CBS College Sports on Oct. 24, starting at 6:30 p.m. More television selections may be made in the coming months.

Also announced on Friday was a date change for the SMU-Tulane game. Due to a scheduling conflict for the Green Wave, the game will now be played on Nov. 28.

"Following the release of our schedule, Conference USA alerted us to the conflict, and, being a good Conference member, we worked with Tulane to remedy the situation," said SMU's Director of Athletics Steve Orsini.

SMU opens spring practice on Monday, March 30.

Absolutely ridiculous that we have to go one month between home games. Hopefully the Navy game is a night game so as not to interfere with the TX-OU game.
