Again, let’s look at SMU in 2008. With a green quarterback and a completely new offense – and seemingly without the proper personnel to run it – quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell had 24 touchdowns and receivers Aldrick Robinson and Emanuel Sanders put up huge receiving numbers. Sure, they don’t employ the running backs as much more than diversionary, but you can see that the offense certainly allows teams with inferior personnel to move the ball.
