91Stang, you got them all. This is also part of our tradition we need to promote to recruits. SMU might have had some troubles, but when you look at the overall history, WOW! I know. I didn't grow up in Dallas, or Texas for that matter. I just loved college ball. SMU had a good history with good academics. That's why I went there from LA. He might be gone, but he's not forgotten. May have been a while back, but you look at Doak. Easily one of the GREATEST college players EVER. Forrest Gregg was one of the greatest linemen in college and pros. EVER. Even Lombardi said so. Men like these played for SMU because of SMU. Forrest's son played for SMU. His daughter went to SMU. And when we needed some help after '87. He came back to help as best he could. We need to capitalize on things such as this. Let's get some of the old players back to help promote the program. Let's get Michael Carter, Russell Carter, Jerry Ball, Wes Hopkins, and the like back in the SMU fold. Get these guys to help promote, and we'll get a lot more attention.

Go Ponies!

I agree - Michael Carter, Russell Carter, Wes Hopkins etc., need to be brought back into the fold. They're still young enough that players have heard of them.
