Calling his yardage "crap yardage" is simply wrong — it's not like he threw 50 screen passes and had McNeal pick up all of his yardage. I'm not saying he didn't make mistakes. He did — critical mistakes. Nobody is arguing that. All I'm saying is that he also did some good things. I also know that June Jones and Dan Morrison, who know a hell of a lot more about QB play than anyone on this board, seem to think BLM is progressing. Neither of them have said he is a star or anything, and both have said he is progressing about as they had expected, and they seem to think he'll continue to do so. I tend to believe them over a bunch of upset fans (a group in which I'm certainly included) who are reacting after a tough loss.
It's a whole different thing when you're talking about a true sophomore who came out of a high school that didn't throw a lot. Bo has never been in a situation where he has thrown a whole lot, so he's really still learning about this whole thing. — Dan Morrison.
June Jones and Dan Morrison owe an explanation to the fans of this program on why BLM throws so many INTs.

What do you want them to say? "He has mis-read the defense sometimes or made some bad throws"? The Bill Walshes/Vince Lombardis/Joe Gibbses/Chuck Knolls/Don Shulas on here already have figured that out. Here's what they'll say: "He did some things well, and he made some costly mistakes, and he's going to work hard and get better as he learns more."

Not just in this game. In his career. Why aren't the INT totals getting any better? Why isn't he progressing enough to make better decisions?

Shouldn't that quote raise questions as to why we're attempting to develop a QB who didn't throw much in HS?!? This is supposed to be a system that QBs and WRs flock to, so the fact that we're hanging all of our hopes on a QB who didn't throw much in HS is a little concerning.

I was at the game. Bo made a number of great throws, and was really efficient in taking what the defense gave him. He had 4 picks, two of which the recievers ran incorrect routes on based on coverage.
I hope this loss kick starts their [deleted]. I spoke with a number of players (and JJ) after the game, tough loss but these guys have grown tremendously since last year. I wanted a win, but was encouraged by what I saw.

two of those picks were on disappointing for that reason, one was a pick 6. The other was a screen pass to the right slot, reciever was late in turning his head and ball was in air, the db made a break on the ball. ES got hit in the back from behind that somehow didn't get flagged. The officials were not real picky on calling holds on offense, caught themselves watching the game at some points. SMU controlled WSU on Offense, Defense and Special teams for 3 quarters, then slow [deleted] the bed in the remaining minutes.
