Just turned on the N.O./Philly game and saw Morstead kicking off after a N.O. FG. First time I have see him play since he left SMU. Out of bounds and ball on the 40. I turned it off for his sake.
BTW. As good as our kicker has been doing this year, those OB kickoffs were not helpful yesterday either. Whatever happened to kicking off downfield and tackling the player rather than trying this directional stuff?

In all fairness, one of those out of bounds kickoffs was due to a weird bounce of the ball when it hit the ground. Sort of like a 90 degree bounce instead of straight ahead.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
