Oh baloney. What SMU coach told you they are "getting rid of Peruna"? Quit lying to try and bolster your point. No one, not a single official at SMU has said a single word about "getting rid of Peruna".

Just out of curiousity, what makes you think he's lying? Just because they haven't said it publicly doesn't mean that it hasn't been said privately. Do you really think you can trust an SMU official with telling the truth? Gimme a break.

Before you call somebody a liar, you better get your facts straight buddy. My comment is based in fact! I had a conversation with an assistant coach in August, 2009 at an establishment serving adult beverages not more than 1 mile from the stadium. This coach who has a fu manchu..(you figure it out) told me that (and this is a direct quote) "we need to talk about that horse...it is part of the losing culture at SMU."

So Mr. or Ms. Varsity Shop...just what it is our status with "Varsity Book Shop." I checked google. The last entry is 2005. Out of Business..wonder why..hmmm.... Don't attack people who have been to over 90% of SMU games since the early 80's, and bleed red and blue.

I know from a very credible inside source that Coach Jones has been talking about completely getting rid of Peruna almost since the day he arrived in Dallas. The "three mascots" thing is a compromise, designed to try to keep everybody happy. If Jones had his way, Peruna wouldn't set foot in that stadium
