Point wasn't what color is right or wrong, point is school could communicate better with its fan base if there is going to be a switch. If they want us to wear more red to the game, let us season ticket holders, mustang club members, etc. know we are going with red jerseys this year so please support our team by wearing red.

I think the problem is that no one is on the same page in that athletic dept. Steve O. & Co went around in circles when they switched from navy to royal blue and now June is the one who wants the red jerseys over the blue ones. I think they both look great but I agree that it would be nice to establish a dominant home uni and then break out the other color maybe 1-2/yr.

Exactly. It would be easy to send blast e-mail to season ticket holders and mustang club members (who are going to be your biggest fans anyway) to just inform them we are going with red this year and would appreciate you guys wearing red in support of the team.

I don't care if we are in red, blue, white, etc. but as someone pointed out on earlier thread from a branding / marketing standpoint you need to let your fans know what is expected and then stick with it. Seems like we keep changing every year or so something.

Since we have 2 colors, as fans going to the game, we should wear the color

that will contrast our opponents color the most , like wear red vs. t.c.u and rice

and wear blue vs. t,tech and cougarhigh.

some of us are flat broke and wear white shirts with a blue sharpied SMU on the front...not me...but some of us.
